Kelly Kimball
Reporter. Editor. Photojournalist.
I am a Webby- and Shorty Impact Award-winning editor, reporter, photographer and journalism professor based in New York City covering global affairs, human rights, the geopolitics of climate change, and the consequential ripples of global flashpoints.
My reporting has been cited by the consortium in Afghanistan led by the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), the National Student Nurses' Association House of Delegates, and the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security. Through my work, I have been invited to share remarks on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly; speak on a panel among fellow women newsroom leaders at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism; join a cohort of fast-rising Asian-American journalists via the Gold House Journalism Accelerator; discuss audience growth and cross-border collaboration at the Global Investigative Journalism Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and lecture at Yale University through the Poynter Fellowship in Journalism.
